Simple Farmhouse Spring Garland for Mantle
Decorate your fireplace in a farmhouse style with this simple spring garland for mantle! It is so easy to make.
Hello, friends! I am happy almost Spring and can’t wait to show you how I used this farmhouse spring garland for mantle to update my living room.
Though you would have no idea here from all of the snow, Spring is less than a week away!
And boy, I can’t wait for some warmer temperatures! Since our Spring tease weather a few weeks ago, I’ve longed to feel the warm sun on my face again!

Plus, I’m excited for the flowers to bloom, to see the tiny buds appear on the now bare tree branches, and to hear birds chirping and life outside again.
The long winter months of peace and quiet and still outside are beautiful, too. But, it’s March. Enough is enough 😉
With Spring Comes Decorating!
One of the best parts of Spring coming is decorating!! And I guess Spring cleaning, too. Though that’s not quite as exciting, right?!
With Spring comes the excuse to bring out all the floral decor. And I have plenty of that!
I always tend to over-decorate my mantles. Or, at the very least, overthink the design. Between layering different items on either side, balancing the height, and figuring out what on earth I’m going to put under the TV I always end up with something more complicated than is really necessary.
For this Mantle, I Decided on Spring Garland
I made my own floral garland using magnolia flowers and some pretty spring blossoms I picked up from Hobby Lobby.
Then, I used two matching white vases I already had on either side of the TV, filled them up with eucalyptus branches from IKEA and I was finished.
And, I seriously LOVE it. Sometimes simple is the way to go!
I’m loving the white magnolia flowers and subtle pops of pink from the Spring blossoms (I think they’re peach blossoms but I’m not 100% sure).
Design Choices for Vases
I thought about adding some bright Spring blooms into the white vases but decided to stick with simple green. After all, the color green really signifies Spring to me.
My husband always accuses me of never decorating with color. I guess I would say that’s true! I love the whites and neutrals so often seen in farmhouse decor. There’s something classic and beautiful about them.

This Spring Garland is Simple Decor for your Mantle
All in all, I’m so happy with how the mantle turned out. It’s a simple, classic design that took no time and is really easy to replicate!
And, the best part? I didn’t stress about decorating under/around the TV! Of course, I still loathe having the TV up there in general but the simple floral garland underneath is enough to make me forget it’s there!
Don’t you just love the way this spring garland for mantle worked out? I simply love the neutral colors and leaves that really set the tone for Spring.
The vases are a seriously nice touch that was really convenient well because I already had them. Spring is here!

This is beyond darling! I am stuck with a tv over my mantle and fireplace as well and it can be tricky! Did you ever decide to do a garland tutorial? I peeked around but may have missed it. I would be so pleased to see the magic happen and try it myself!! Fingers crossed!!
Thank you 🙂 I don’t think I did share that garland but I did make another garland – https://www.makingjoyandprettythings.com/make-faux-garland/ – basically gather your greenery or flowers (whatever you’re using) and tie together using twine. Super easy and completely customizable!
