Spring is ALL about flowers and greenery and that is simply the best way to make your home instantly feel like spring! Even if it is too early to find real flowers and plants, you can get the same effect with faux!

Moss is another easy greenery to add around your home, like this moss bowl from Making Manzanita!

Here are some easy tips for quickly incorporating florals and greenery throughout your home:

  • Use grocery store bouquets (Trader Joe’s are GREAT!) and split them into smaller arrangements around your home.
  • Swap out winter greenery for faux or fresh spring stems (think tulips, eucalyptus, or hydrangeas, and even moss!).
  • Add a simple potted plant to your entryway or herbs on the kitchen counter.

Centerpieces don’t get enough credit in my opinion! They are SO easy to create and swap out every season!

I am always creating new simple and easy centerpieces in our dining room, so it makes sense that this is one of my favorite Spring decorating ideas for the home!

Here are some simple Spring centerpiece ideas to try:

  • Fill a bowl or tray with decorative eggs, moss, and candles.
  • Use a glass vase with lemons, limes, or seasonal blooms for a bright touch.
  • Lay fresh or faux greenery along the table, and accent with white pillar candles with faux carrots and small potted herb plants.
  • Stack vintage books with a small vase and candle for a charming vignette.

Seasonal Wall & Shelf Updates

This can be one of the harder areas to swap out for the seasons because you have to either buy new seasonal wall decor or make some. However, adding a few Spring art pieces throughout your home makes a big difference!

Without getting “too” Spring or Easter focused, you can still use seasonal touches that could last you all year long! Like a landscape print with flowers on a hillside.

Here are some easy ways to switch up your shelf and wall decor for Spring:

  • Swap out artwork for spring-inspired prints or printables.
  • Style shelves with light-colored ceramics, woven baskets, and small floral touches.
  • Lean a vintage-style mirror or frame for added charm.

Add in Subtle Easter Touches (Without Going Overboard)

Decorating for a holiday, like Easter, can go overboard real quick. Avoid buying a ton of trendy seasonal decorations that you only use a few weeks of the year.

Instead, incorporate a few timeless pieces with neutral colors so you can decorate for Easter without it looking like the aisles of Hobby Lobby have thrown up in your living room.

A couple of brass bunnies are a perfect little way to decorate for Easter, like Liz Marie did here

If you want to decorate for Easter in a subtle way, try one of these ideas:

  • Use neutral-colored or wooden Easter decorations for a timeless look.
  • Add a few ceramic bunnies or pastel candles to mantels or entry tables.
  • Use neutral-colored Easter eggs around your home on shelves or in bowls on the counter.

Refresh Your Mantel for Spring

Love this simple Spring mantel!

Don’t forget about your mantel for Spring! It is such a prominent spot in your home, so it deserves to get a little love for the seasons.

It doesn’t have to be complicated, just incorporate color and florals and you’re good!

Give your mantel and refresh for Spring with one of these tips:

  • Swap out winter garlands for faux greenery or floral garlands.
  • Layer a mirror or framed botanical print as a backdrop.
  • Add candlesticks, small vases with fresh or faux flowers, and a few decorative accents.
  • Keep it simple and balanced—less is more for a fresh, airy look.

Fresh Scents for a Spring Atmosphere

Country Pear seems like the perfect Spring scent! Love this vignette from Sarah Joy.

It is really easy to forget about JUST how much smells impact the feel of our home. You can make your home feel more like Spring by using fresh-scented candles or diffusing oils, like lavender and lemon.

Try some of these Spring smells in your home this season:

  • Use a diffuser with citrus or floral essential oils.
  • Swap out winter candles for fresh scents like lavender, linen, or fresh-cut grass.
  • Simmer lemon slices and rosemary on the stove for a natural home fragrance.

Conclusion

  • Spring decorating doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive.
  • Small swaps can make a big impact with minimal effort.
  • Pick a few ideas, have fun, and enjoy a refreshed home for the season!
